“The machines installed across our Blast Furnace, CMD Iron Plant, Galvanizing Plant, Turbine, and Coke-Oven Unit have consistently demonstrated outstanding efficiency in cleaning oils and maintaining process reliability.”.
The Company
The steel producer is one of India’s integrated steel producers, comprising several steel manufacturing subsidiaries. Its operations span the full steelmaking chain , from a Blast Furnace and CMD Iron Plant through Coke-Oven, Turbine, and Galvanizing units, where equipment runs continuously under demanding thermal and mechanical loads.
In an integrated steel plant, oil is the lifeblood of nearly every critical asset. Gearboxes, hydraulics, turbines, and rotating machinery depend on clean, well-maintained oil to run reliably. Contamination anywhere in that chain shortens equipment life, threatens uptime, and drives cost. The company’s commitment to operational excellence and sustainable practice meant it needed oil-cleaning performance it could trust across every one of these units.
The Challenge
The client’s units could not be treated as a single, uniform environment. A Blast Furnace, a Coke-Oven, a Turbine hall, a Galvanizing line, and the CMD Iron Plant each place different demands on lubricating and hydraulic oils , but all share the same non-negotiable requirement: reliability.
The group needed oil filtration that could hold up across all five, keep contamination in check on continuous shifts, and do so without adding operational burden for the maintenance teams already running some of the most demanding equipment in the plant. Just as important, whatever solution it chose had to align with the company’s own commitment to operational excellence and sustainable practices — extending equipment life and cutting waste rather than simply reacting to failures.
The Solution
Klarol deployed 45 Klarol filtration machines across the client’s Blast Furnace, CMD Iron Plant, Galvanizing Plant, Turbine, and Coke-Oven units. Conceived, engineered, and manufactured in India for high pressure conditions, the machines were built to perform in the heat, dust, and continuous operation of an integrated steel plant.
Robust technology, user-friendly design
A significant part of Klarol’s fit was how the machines behaved in daily use. The steel producer’s team pointed to the robust technology, user-friendly design, and high reliability of the systems — qualities that let plant operators keep oil clean as part of routine work, without specialist intervention, and that stood up to the continuous duty cycle of steel production.
Support through commissioning and beyond
Deploying 45 machines across five units is as much about partnership as product. Klarol’s team worked alongside the client through commissioning and into ongoing operation, with the professional support and responsiveness the group singled out as noteworthy.
The Impact
Across all five units, the Klarol machines consistently demonstrated outstanding efficiency in cleaning oils and maintaining process reliability. That translated into the outcomes that matter most in an integrated steel plant: improved equipment life, assured operational continuity, and enhanced overall productivity.
“We particularly value the robust technology, user-friendly design, and high reliability of Klassic Klarol Filters, which align with our commitment to operational excellence and sustainable practices. Your products and services have played an important role in strengthening our operational efficiency, and we look forward to continuing this association in the years ahead.”…**
For KLAROL, the deployment for the steel producer is proof of the same standard behind 3,000+ installations across India: world-class filtration, engineered at home, trusted on the country’s most demanding plant floors.
